Future Ready Solutions and Bodley and Associates president and chief executive Eric Bodley

CEDIA has announced that Future Ready Solutions and Bodley and Associates president and chief executive Eric Bodley has been named as the 2017 CEDIA Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Eric will be honoured at the CEDIA Awards Celebration at the USS Midway on Wednesday 6 September 2017.

The CEDIA Lifetime Achievement Award recognises an individual who has exhibited outstanding, creative, innovative and visionary leadership in the growth and advancement of the residential technology industry. Nominations are submitted by industry professionals and evaluated on the basis of achievement and service within the industry.

Eric has been working in consumer electronics for 40 years and in this time has worked in nearly every aspect of the industry. He developed the custom installation division for specialty electronics retailer Sound Advice early in his career before forming Bodley and Associates and training hundreds of sales associates with his in-home audio video (IHAV) specialist program.

From 1995-2009 Eric launched a range of products and programs for Monster Cable Products and started Florida Home Entertainment Design (a CEPro Top 100 integrator and CEDIA member). In 2009, he was recruited to launch the Perfect Path brand of locking HDMI cables by PPC and recently founded Future Ready Solutions.

In addition to the above, Eric is a past president of CEDIA (1993 – 1994), is a CEDIA Fellow, served as a judge on this year’s CEDIA Awards and is a member of the CEDIA Advisory Council. He is also a past chairman of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) Small Business Council, a past member of the CTA Board of Industry Leaders (BIL) and the 2015 recipient of the CTA TechHome Leadership Award.

Moreover, Eric has participated at every level with CEDIA and continues to be incredibly generous with his time and talents volunteering for the organization,” says CEDIA chairman Dennis Erskine.
