EnvironexusIn a move that highlights its renewed commitment to the ‘smart space’, Schneider Electric has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Melbourne-based start-up, Environexus.

“As the connected home industry continues to expand, we have experienced an unprecedented level of growth,” Environexus chief executive and co-founder Chris Hall says.

“This agreement with Schneider Electric allows us to continue development of our platform while providing valuable resources for sales, support and logistics in our local markets.”

The agreement will see Schneider Electric supply of all Environexus products to the Australian and New Zealand markets and coincides with the release of the new Environexus NERO series, a platform that has been locally developed from the ground up, specifically for installers wanting to leverage the growing demand for IoT technologies.

NZ distribution will be moving from Christchurch-based Vynco to Schneider Electric’s local subsidiary, PDL.

“By partnering with Schneider Electric, we will be able to grow our presence in electrical wholesalers, increase our service capabilities to integrators and garner the ability to investigate new, ‘non-traditional’ markets,” Chris says.

“Middy’s has been a significant supporter of ours for the past two years, so we will continue to work with them to best serve the contractor market.

“For the first three months of this agreement, we will be very much focused on ensuring our existing customer base transitions smoothly. After that we will focus on building our presence in the market.”

The agreement commenced today, 18 July. Schneider Electric will showcase the new NERO range at the upcoming Integrate expo to be held in Sydney on 23-25 of August.

NERO is an affordable, scalable retrofit wireless automation solution that allows you to build your dream smart home, one switch at a time. Your smart phone or tablet becomes the control interface for your all your connected devices, seamlessly merging lifestyle and technology into one.

NERO’s Australian designed wizard-based operating system offers guaranteed inter-operability of all NERO devices, with advanced settings that allow system integrators to completely customize each installation.

“I am delighted to welcome Environexus as a key supplier within our new Smart Space portfolio,” says Ben Green, Smart Space Director of Partner Business for Clipsal by Schneider Electric.

“The new NERO series of products will allow our partners to integrate cost effective wireless products into projects that require simple scalable solutions for the connected home.”
