The charcoal, brushed aluminum front panel sports ELAN’s sleek new look, an indigo display panel and streams four unique audio outputs at the touch of a button. Users have easy access to the system, and station and program information at the tuner and throughout the home on ELAN Touch Panels or Olé Film Interactive Touchpads. The announcement was made by Bob Farinelli, ELAN’s President and Chief Technology Officer.

The DT22 is a precision, high sensitivity, digital tuner with plug-and-play satellite receiver capability featuring added signal stability in the native AM and FM bands for advanced signal locking and lower noise levels. With the appropriate subscriptions, two proprietary SIRIUS XM SC-H1 tuners can be added for less than $100 in minutes to provide high definition stereo reception anywhere in North America. The result is a stunning 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response at an 80dB Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) on satellite audio reception, with up to 300Hz to 15kHz at 63dB SNR for local terrestrial broadcasts. But users will most appreciate the instant multi-room capability built into the tuner for out-of-the-box functionality. DT22 “Dual Tuner” refers to the satellite / terrestrial capability NOT the listening options! The four tuners each operate independently so four listeners can each access and control the tuners to enjoy different programs in any zone the system serves.

ELAN Engineers have built seamless system integration into the DT22 so that installers can easily use IR, serial, VIA!Net, or Ethernet for multi-room control to supplement the included IR full-function handheld remote. In these system installations, 2-way feedback, including station call letters, frequency, genre, song name and artist can be viewed on existing ELAN EM-Series Touch Panels, Wireless Tablets and Olé Touchpads. Program information is available for both the tuner’s native bands through the built-in Radio Broadcast Data System (RBDS) and the data stream available through the SIRIUS tuners. System and network setup is easy and intuitive through the front panel buttons and LCD with user friendly controls for setting station presets. For larger installations two DT22s can be linked for up to eight independent audio outputs all accessible through the controllers in each room.
