The EV55DP hybrid design will be loved by both solid state and valve purists as it allows the user to select either valve or solid state outputs with the simple flick of a front panel mounted switch.

The EV55DP can be used a standalone CD player, or as a CD player and DAC to play back your digital music media, as it is able to reproduce the highest fidelity from both. It is equipped with two coaxial inputs as well as a USB (Type-B) input on the rear panel that is compatible with both PC and MAC products. All inputs accept signals up to 24-bit/192kHz. Regardless of your input choice the EV55DP will dramatically improve the detail levels in your CD collection or digital media.

On the rear panel, the EV55DP is furnished with both fixed and variable unbalanced analogue outputs, as well as both coaxial and optical outputs for the CD transport. A built-in headphone amplifier is also included, accessed via the front mounted 6.35mm headphone socket, with its output level controlled by a front mounted traditional rotary volume control.

The EV55DP also includes a full function remote control which can operate both the EV55DP and the matching integrated valve amplifier (EV55SE).
