Denon AVR-1611 and AVR-1911 receivers
Additional new features and a redesigned remote control add to the appeal of these new models.
With significant marketing efforts currently being directed towards 3D television and home theatre, consumers will require their entire AV system to be 3D-ready to get the most from the experience. The inclusion of the newest HDMI 1.4a specification in these receivers ensures full compatibility with all mandated 3D formats for movie, broadcast and game content.
Less cables for a simpler setup
HDMI 1.4a brings ease-of-use benefits too – these receivers offer consumers greater simplicity with a new feature called Audio Return Channel (ARC) that eliminates the need for additional cables to send digital audio from an ARC-compatible television back to the receiver.

Combined with the ability of these receivers to upconvert all video sources to HDMI (and in the case of the AVR-1911, to convert all video sources to 1080p) and output them over a single HDMI cable, installing and operating an AV system has never been easier.
HD audio support
Both models feature decoding of the latest high definition audio formats, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, ensuring every subtle nuance and dynamic peak is reproduced with full detail and clarity. Dolby Pro Logic IIz is also decoded, providing a vertical dimension to the surround sound experience.
iPod connectivity and network streaming
The AVR-1911 features direct play for iPod and iPhone via USB. Users simply connect to the receiver’s USB port using their iPod’s USB cable. In addition, both models can accommodate Denon’s ASD-51W or ASD-51N networked control docks, allowing easy iPod playback and streaming of networked audio.
Users can navigate the iPod’s menu using the receiver’s remote control, with the visuals displayed on their TV via the receiver’s on screen display. Audio from the iPod is transmitted digitally and unaltered to the receiver where it passes through the compressed audio restorer to produce a clean, high-quality sound. The iPod or iPhone battery is even charged while the receiver is switched on.
New remote control with on-screen configuration
The AVR-1611 and AVR-1911 receivers are supplied with a newly designed remote control handset that will make operation easier and more intuitive. A key new feature is on-screen configuration of the remote control allowing first-time setup of the remote to operate with other brands of equipment, accompanied by clear on-screen instructions.
The remote itself is clearly and logically laid out and has direct buttons for zone control, iPod direct play and three quick select buttons to instantly configure the receiver for different users or listening modes.
