AVR1312

High quality sound across all channels

Both receivers feature fully discrete, identical power outputs for each of the five channels. This ensures that multi-channel music and movie soundtracks are reproduced with the original dynamics intact. Furthermore both receivers support Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio for high definition audio.

Connectivity and expandability

The new models have plenty of connection options with four HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. HDMI 1.4a ensures 3D video capability for users with 3D displays and the AVR-1612 also features Auto Lip Sync, Audio Return Channel and HDMI CEC control. The ability to connect an optional ASD-51 Networked Control Dock to both models allows users to stream music to the receiver or play their favourite tunes via iPod or iPhone.

The AVR-1612 also has a USB input for iPod and iPhone with Direct Play feature. Users can navigate the iPod’s menu using the receiver’s remote control, with the visuals displayed on their TV via the receiver’s On Screen Display. The AVR-1312 has a front panel mini-jack for direct input from portable players. The on-board Compressed Audio Restorer on both models delivers a high quality output from compressed music files.

Ease of use has been designed into these receivers with features such as four ‘Quick Select’ buttons on the front panel and remote that allow instant selection of favourite sources and surround modes, and a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that overlays the source video on HDMI and other inputs to allow users easy control over all settings with an easy to follow interface.

Many additional features

• 75W x 5 power output on both models (8ohms, 20Hz – 20kHz, THD 0.08 %)
• Very low standby power consumption of only 0.1W
• A set-up wizard providing easy configuration of all settings and a multi-brand remote control (both AVR-1612 only)
• The AVR -1612 also features Audyssey MultEQ with Auto Setup, including a microphone to perfectly calibrate the system to suit the room’s acoustics as well as Audyssey Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ.
