SonArray, which is a sub-brand to Sonance, will be sold as a package consisting of eight satellite speakers featuring a 3.5” (89mm) anodized aluminum cone and an 8” (203mm) dual voice coil underground subwoofer with brown hammertone-finished metal canopy.

SonArray presents itself as an 8-Ohm load that can be driven by a standard AV receiver or power amplifier, making it a cost-effective alternative to rock and weatherproof cabinet speakers and perfect for clients wanting to achieve high quality, evenly distributed audio in outdoor spaces of up to 2000 square feet (185 square meters). It is installed in a simple daisy-chain configuration, with the subwoofer connected to both channels.

“The uptake and success of our SLS (Sonance Landscape Series) since its release is testimony to the fact that home owners are investing more in outdoor entertaining.  They want their outdoor entertainment system to deliver the same performance as they enjoy indoors.” Said Ari Supran, CEO of Dana Innovations. “SonArray opens the door for another market segment to step up from basic outdoor speakers to a satellite and subwoofer system that delivers high sonic performance without hot spots or dead zones.”

The SonArray Sats and Sub are hidden under plants or foliage, so the system won’t compromise the aesthetics of the landscaping.  And because the speakers are placed along the perimeter of the property facing inwards, sound spillover to neighbor’s yards is minimised also.
