CRS are pleased to announce their appointment as a Philips Dynalite Value Added Partner (VAP).

Founder and CEO of CRS, Brendan Dessent, believes the addition of integrated lighting control and energy management systems is a logical extension of the company’s already expansive product portfolio.

“It was the missing piece of the puzzle,” he says, “and enables us to offer a full end-to-end solution to our traditional markets, as well as opening up other avenues.”

The Philips Dynalite range is extensive and comprises load controllers, user interfaces and integration devices to provide fully customised lighting control, energy management and building automation solutions across a range of applications, from greenfield sites and new-build projects through to commercial fit-outs.

“Philips Dynalite demands that VAP members have an excellent industry reputation and the capacity to provide the same excellent levels of service they themselves offer. Our reputation in the marketplace is second to none.

“Our customers know us for our superior ICT infrastructure solutions, which include racking, security data caging, computer room hot and cold aisle containment, network connectivity, UPS systems, power monitoring and intelligent networked power distribution. We are now able to provide complementary control products that deliver the most energy efficient installation possible” says Dessent.

Access to the Philips Dynalite range is bolstered by the appointment of a number of key personnel from the former Dynalite family;

  • Laurence Coote, General Manager. Previously a partner and Sales Director at Dynalite, Laurence has more than 25 years experience in the electrical and industrial controls arena and has implemented a number of strategic initiatives at CRS, including establishing the Philips Dynalite partnership.
  • Terry Bonham, Technical Manager. Terry was a partner and Engineering Services Director at Dynalite for over a decade, where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of product application support and performance specification. He presided over some of the world’s largest lighting control projects and is the leading technical expert on the Philips Dynalite portfolio. He manages the technical elements of every project from design through to final handover and oversees our expanding team of experienced commissioning engineers.
  • Grant Thomson, NSW State Manager. Grant’s career began in IT support and he subsequently moved into lighting controls. He has over 14 years experience in the controls space, including eight years in strategic Sales Management roles at Dynalite in both the UK-based Dynalite Europe and the company’s headquarters in Sydney, Australia.
  • Larry Nicholas, NSW Senior Business Development Manager. Larry joined CRS after more than half a decade with Philips Lighting, where he forged relationships within the electrical contracting community and gained expert knowledge of the construction and specification space.
  • Philip Gouveia, NSW Sales Support Engineer. Philip has joined us directly from Philips Lighting, where he has spent over seven years designing and supporting the Philips Dynalite portfolio. Philip previously worked at Anixter, where he gained extensive knowledge of the communications industry, extending his capability across the CRS range.

The new additions round out the established national CRS team, whose combined expertise delivers on every aspect of a project from in-house technical design and R&D through to post-installation follow-up.

As an official Philips Dynalite Value Added Partner (VAP), CRS’s admission to the program ensures customers will continue to receive the same high levels of service they’ve come to expect. The product set and path to market aligns with the CRS ethos; to work closely with customers from the design stage onwards, ensuring that we achieve the best possible outcome for each project.

Our strong vendor partner relationships are renowned in the industry. Where others may offer competing lines, we work only with the best in the business for each product category and stand by our alliances.

The controls industry is continually evolving, as evidenced through the current convergence of lighting and network technologies such as Power over Ethernet (PoE). We believe our partnership will contribute significantly to the future development of lighting control solutions.

Aaron Castles, National Partner Channel Manager Philips Lighting further explains the synergies between the organisations;

“The combined lighting controls experience of the CRS team and turn-key service offering, coupled with Philips Lighting technologies, represents a tremendous opportunity for more end clients to realise the promise and potential of Philips professional lighting solutions.”
