The touchscreen displays and controls real-time lighting and temperature levels, menu commands, channel favourites, and an alphanumeric keypad; custom WAV file audio feedback is also supported. For presentation preview, surveillance or entertainment, video from security cameras, movies, and other sources is made possible by the Crestron CEN-NVS100 MJPEG encoder, which converts video to streaming media. The 2.8″ display has an impressively wide viewing angle with remarkable display brightness and contrast, providing an unprecedented level of detail for a small screen.

The ergonomic lay-out of the twenty-nine tactile buttons makes the TPMC-3X very comfortable and easy to use. The variety of buttons, including a 5-way navigation thumbpad, three configurable “softkeys” and a pushbutton on the side, provide simple and flexible on-screen menu navigation. Every button on the faceplate features highly visible backlit text, and is fully programmable to support quick access to commonly used functions – even pan/tilt camera control. The TPMC-3X touchscreen is powered by 16-bit graphics that provide stunning high-res images, dynamic graphics and text, PNG translucency, animation, as well as 3D graphics using DNav dynamic menu objects. The sleek charging dock was inspired by the multiple award-winning Crestron TPS-6X, which broke new ground in touchpanel design.
