Crestron now shipping Avia multi-channel amplifiers
Crestron has announced it is now shipping Avia multichannel amplifiers, rounding out its new line of Avia Audio Solutions.
AMP-8075 and AMP-8150 have been designed to work natively with Crestron Avia DSPs to give flexible audio systems for a wide range of commercial applications. The new high-efficiency amps support applications requiring simultaneous low and high impedance speaker systems, remote control and monitoring over the network.
“Our new Avia amplifiers perfectly complement our powerful Avia DSP platform,” said Crestron audio technology manager Dennis Fink.

“Together they provide a robust, easy to scale audio system for a wide range of commercial applications. Configuration and control is fast and easy using our intuitive new Avia Audio Tool software; and the overall performance is truly best-in-class.”
The Avia multichannel amplifiers offer 8 channels of clean, professional power in a single rack space. There is a choice of either 75 or 150W per channel and each channel is individually configurable for either low-Z (4/8Ω) or high-Z (70V or 100V). Configuration, monitoring and control are achieved through high-speed Ethernet LAN connectivity via the Avia Audio Tool software, a Crestron control system, or Crestron Fusion Cloud.
The Avia Audio Tool software, with highly intuitive channel-strip architecture and a range of built-in pro tools, makes complete system configuration fast and easy. Users are able to quickly integrate Crestron touch screens without a central control system by dragging and dropping channel strip objects (from the DSP amplifiers) for control and to generate a touch screen UI.
Advanced Class D technology maximises efficiency to reduce power consumption and heat dissipation, while an internal universal power supply with power factor correction ensures consistent performance with varying line voltages. The amps also feature front panel status indication and output meters, as well as rear panels with balanced inputs and level adjustments.
