CEDIA 2017 kicks off in San Diego on 5 September where Chowmain will be releasing brand new C4 drivers at booths VSSL (#4512), Domotz (#2813), Miravue (#1405) and Morpheus (#2845).

VSSL A.6 – This multi channel amplifier is an 8 input and 6 amplified zone matrixed amplifier that gives the user audio streaming for each zone. Any app in the world can be listened to from six different devices or six different zones all at the same time – zones can also be grouped for multi-room or whole home listening.

The driver allows full two way control and feedback over switching, volume and can stream Apple Airplay, Google Cast or Spotify Connect to any of the zones. The bus outputs can be used to add any of these streaming services to other Control4 integrated receivers or amplifiers with Auto Room On and Room off.

Domotz – Violet 2.0 – Chowmain has developed the Violet 2.0 for Control4 as a smart home support application that provides security and parental control features for home owners. The driver allows the user to power cycle/reboot devices, block/unblock specific devices from accessing the internet and get alerts when new devices join the network.

For increased usability, a trouble shooting feature helps the home-owner resolve issuers with their system before needing to call for assistance.

Miravue – HDMI Distribution and IO Extender – This small device acts as a transmitter, receiver, switch, wireless AP and provides built in IR/RS232 IOs and stereo downmix.

It runs on ethernet, coax and wireless infrastructures, supports HDMI 1.x/2.x video sources and also provides video switching from any input to output while adding the RS232 and IR outputs. This uses Control4’s architecture which adds more RS232 and IR ports without using any sort of pass through.

Morpheus – All in one media server and player – The Video Movie Server has a built in 2TB or 4TB storage all in a small milled aluminium package. To complement, it has a built in Audio Server with two independent audio zones along with internet radio and a plethora of streaming apps.

It allows full movie, TV show, photo and music browsing and searching along with playback via any Control4 Navigator.
