Linear LED lighting has traditionally been used to subtly highlight architectural features. A recent smart home project in Australia challenged this convention with homeowners, working with Nisi Group, who envisioned a bold, geometric lighting design that would dominate the room.

For this vision, Nisi Group turned to Control4 Vibrant Linear Lighting from Snap One. The result was a captivating and personalised space.

Over 1km of these innovative light strips were installed to accentuate the home’s architecture and create striking visual effects. Impressed with the outcome, Nisi promptly integrated vibrant linear lighting into its showroom. By showcasing the technology in a real-world setting, they were able to inspire other clients and demonstrate the limitless possibilities of smart lighting.

“The homeowners loved the effects lighting can impart living spaces, strip lighting. Certainly, soft, diffused, general illumination was on their radar but they were thrilled to have the chance to incorporate bright, colourful lighting into the design,” Nisi operations manager Alicia Nisi says.

“The Vibrant Linear Lighting strips paired with their tried-and-trusted Control4 system would give the clients the best of both worlds, plus the ability to dramatically change the look and feel of any room by easily adjusting the intensity, temperature and hue of the strips.”

The homeowners, passionate about colour, empowered Nisi to design and program a versatile lighting system. From festive celebrations to serene relaxation, the lighting is adapted to suit every mood and occasion.

To simplify control, Nisi programmed various lighting scenes and assigned them to shortcut buttons on Control4 interfaces. This allowed the family to effortlessly create their desired atmosphere whether it was a vibrant gaming experience or a tranquil yoga session.

By integrating the lighting system with motorised shades and a multi-room audio system, Nisi elevated the home’s ambience to new heights. The result was immersive experiences, such as cinematic movie nights and calming bedtime routines. Additionally, the lighting system enhanced security with alarm alerts and night-time illumination. This project highlights the transformative impact of innovative lighting solutions on modern living.
