Contacta, which is distributed by Amber Technology, has announced the new Contacta V series hearing loop drivers.

These drivers enable architects and designers to meet advisory access and mobility guidelines in Australia for commercial projects, ensuring hearing impaired visitors and staff receive the best possible audio coverage.

The Contacta V series range includes two loop drivers with automatic gain control, which are both made with the installer and user in mind. The V7 and V12a models feature cutting edge technology that achieves life-like speech and superior music reproduction.

The Contacta V12a is ideal for projects that require a phased array loop configuration, such as theatre halls or rooms that require minimal spill into adjacent rooms for confidentiality. This dual-output driver provides users with even coverage, while providing designers flexibility when planning the system layout.

The V series also includes a new user interface with a simple dial to make adjusting loop parameters effortless and Euroblock connectors to enable swift and straight-forward installation.  Unlike many conventional drivers, the V series does not require fan cooling, which results in a quieter, lighter and easier to maintain product.

Additionally, the V series has low heat emissions, is easy to install, can be rack mountable or freestanding and is fully and independently certified to be CE, FCC and ICES compliant.
