Clipsal by Schneider Electric to showcase new integration focus at Integrate 2014

The three key elements, of ‘integration’ that Clipsal by Schneider Electric are exploring, have become essential to innovating and creating solutions that fit seamlessly into home life and commercial operations. Today, many devices and control networks form part of the customer’s solution. It is how this is used to bring coherent information and real value to the customer that’s important.

• Converge – In today’s digital economy maximising information relating to the performance of infrastructure is crucial to success in business, and in a residential environment, the key to convenience, security and comfort of the home owner. Regardless of control bus technology, a leading edge building services package or home automation system must converge data to digital repositories, supporting cloud based control and interfacing.
• Connect – Ensuring operational performance data and potential expenditure information is available on demand to decision makers is key to financial agility. An interface must be made available that connects people to the right data, in the right moment. Allowing people to connect to this mine of information in a concise and logical fashion brings clarity, and removes complexity .
• Control – Once all systems are converged and connected, the control and automation of sub systems is simple and intuitive. Their individual performance can also be validated and benchmarked. Giving a customer this sort of data and capability, not only drives efficiency, but allows the integrator to provide additional value and become a valued partner to that customer.

“Integrate Expo is a great opportunity for us to define and demonstrate what a completely connected home or business looks likes from an individual user and a systems perspective,” Clipsal and Schneider Electric Partner Business vice president David Gardner says.

“We’re particularly excited to show visitors to the expo our understanding of how trends and demand for technology can help inspire innovation of world-class solutions for the everyday home user or the business manager.”

New products that Clipsal by Schneider Electric will be showcasing at Integrate 2014 include the following commercial control systems, designed in line with the three pillars of innovation:

• Schedule Plus V5
The Schedule Plus software provides a powerful and simple to use custom graphic interface to building services via a standard PC. With the ability to tailor the appearance and operation of the user interface to a client’s requirements, Schedule Plus provides control and monitoring of lighting, meters and other building services from a PC running Microsoft Windows operating system. Schedule Plus 5.0 brings many exciting new features including a web server capability and the ability to log to an SQL database.

• DALIcontrol 30 Mech devices
Achieve simple room control quickly and easily with the new range of native DALIcontrol 30 Mech devices. The extended range supports flexible system configuration using the beauty of DALI broadcast with no programming required, or can be configured rapidly for specific operation using simple configuration software. The new 30 mechanism platform is an extension to the existing wall plate range and includes options for occupancy detection and light level sensing, IR receiver, on/off control, dimming, and more.

• Push by Schneider Electric
Provides user-friendly control of virtually any device, system or appliance from a smart phone or tablet. It will integrate with C-Bus, DALIcontrol and Energy Management systems to enhance and control technology in residential, multi-dwelling buildings and board-room operations.

Integrate will be one of the first opportunities to show to customers the integration capabilities of Push Controls as part of Schneider Electric, following the acquisition.

Clipsal by Schneider Electric’s extensive range of additional solutions will also be on display throughout the event for visitors to explore. Existing home and commercial products include:

• C-Bus lighting control
• Bluetooth speakers
• 30 Series USB charger mech
• Acti9 Smart Link
• Metering and gateways
