ClearOne awarded new patent relating to echo cancellation with beamforming microphone arrays

ClearOne MicrophonesClearOne has announced that it has been awarded a new patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) titled Methods and Apparatuses for Echo Cancellation with Beamforming Microphone Arrays.

This parent describes a method to perform beamforming and echo cancellation using a direction of arrival determination to select which beamformed signals to transmit.

It is part of ClearOne’s growing patent portfolio that currently includes over 100 patents and pending patent applications. These cover multiple new technologies in the fields of audio and video processing, audio and video streaming, and innovative communication technologies.
