Christie has unveiled the Sapphire 4K40-RGBH, a high-brightness hybrid RGB pure laser and laser phosphor 3D projector.

The projector is suitable for various high-end visualisations, such as themed attractions or premium cinematic environments. It combines rich, saturated colours of RGB pure laser with the proven efficiency of laser phosphor illumination, offering outstanding performance for both 2D and 3D projection on any screen type.

One of the standout features of the Sapphire 4K40-RGBH is its advanced 3D capability. With support for all major active and passive 3D formats, including rear projection, the system is optimised for maximum flexibility.

The optical Infitec colour comb filter dramatically enhances 3D performance, delivering superior light efficiency and a wider colour gamut. Viewers experience deeper, more lifelike images that closely match DCI-P3 colour standards, ideal for applications like dark rides, domes or simulation environments.

Christie’s TruLife electronics platform ensures the projector is ready for anything. With a comprehensive suite of imprints, including Quad 12G-SDI, four DisplayPort connections and three HDMI ports, the Sapphire 4K40-RGBH easily integrates into complex AV systems.

The projector supports native 4K at 60Hz as standard. For content requiring higher refresh rates, the Mirage upgrade enables 4K at 120Hz or 60Hz per eye in 3D. The Mirage Pro package pushes performance further, supporting ultra-high frame rates up to 480Hz at 2K resolution. This is suitable for research, training or simulation.
