Chowmainsoft has released a Control4 driver for the Blustream SW42DA, a four-way HDMI switch that breaks out, converts and downmixes embedded Dolby Atmos and DTS HD audio.

The SW42DA is an advanced and cost-effective solution to make sure 4K UHD video and multi-channel audio can be shared in a Dante multi-room system. It threads video with the embedded multi-channel audio to compatible equipment on output one. The second HDMI output has optional video down-scaling from 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 or 4:2:0, video down to 1080p, with the native embedded audio, or down-mixed two channel audio.

It allows audio selection and manipulation of formats across multichannel and two channel downmixed. The Dante output allows for 9.1 channel breakout and embedding into a Dante digital signal and/or 7.1 channel breakout with a separate two channel down-mixed Dante output.

Optical S/PDIF breakout, individual analogue multi-channel breakout and two channel downmixed balanced/unbalanced analogue audio can be broken out as required from the unit.
