Chowmain software and apps has released a BRP WiFi module for Daikin split HVAC units. It’s a cost-effective way of making two-way integration of HVAC to Control4 with a simple plug-and-play functionality.

Split system HVAC integration has traditionally been painful with the systems generally being IR-based and dealers either integrating presets or learning every code combination. As it’s an extremely cumbersome process, it is often not prioritised by Control4 dealers.

The Chowmain driver integrates the BRP modules and gives users two-way control over temperature, HVAC mode, set point, fan speed and swing direction control.

On top of that, the driver can handle presets and scheduling internally with setup of the hardware and driver taking no more than 30 minutes once up and running.

It’s compatible with the BRPXXXAXX and BRPXXXBXX models, not BRPXXXCXX models.
