The HDBaseT technology, powered by Valens chipset, enables all-in-one connectivity between HD video sources and remote displays through a single 100m/328ft CAT5e/6 cable, delivering uncompressed high definition 4k video, audio, Internet, control signals and up to 100 watts of power.

The HDBaseT Alliance will demonstrate the HDBaseT Multimedia Home Connectivity Solution, and HDBaseT home theater set-up connected to a single-wire TV. In addition The Alliance booth will feature HDBaseT-enabled products from dozens of vendors, including: AquaVision, Atlona, Crestron, Emcore, Epson, Geffen, Hall Research, Hitachi, Integra, Kordz, Kramer, NEC, Onkyo, Panasonic, Pioneer, Primeview, Savant Systems, Shenzhen Shunxun Electronics Co., Ltd, Shinybow, Silver Telecom and Wyrestorm.

HDBaseT 2.0
CEDIA attendees will also be able to see a demonstration of the capabilities of the new HDBaseT 2.0 specification at the Alliance booth. Released just last month, the new specification and its HDBaseT Multimedia Connected Home solution provide the single-cable benefits of HDBaseT, including high performance, reliability long cabling distances, and multi-room support to the CE market, making it simpler and more cost-effective for consumers to turn their entire homes into multimedia entertainment centers

CEDIA Training session
The Alliance will also lead a CEDIA Training panel discussion entitled “How to Install a Complete HDBaseT Whole Home Network Tomorrow” on Thursday, 26 September from 1–2 p.m.

Attendees will hear from fellow professional installers and systems integrators on real-life installation use cases of HDBaseT technology and best practices for implementation. Panelists will also discuss the role of HDBaseT technology in delivering HD content, how it relates to current connectivity standards, and the future of HDBaseT technology.
