Developed by Control Concepts,Inc. (CCI), a leading independent provider of audiovisual control system solutions based in Fair Lawn, NJ, in close cooperation with Leaf, the new software modules were designed to provide easy access to the features and functionality of the matrices that may otherwise be overlooked by Crestron programmers not intimately familiar with Leaf’s offerings. In response to significant dealer demand, the modules specifically take advantage of Leaf’s zone lock capability as well as auto calibration, independent audio routing, and audio matrixing, all of which have made the leaf product line so popular amongst custom integrators.

“We worked closely with the Leaf engineering, support, and sales teams to ensure we understood their product, the common applications, and the functionality intended by the product designers, so that we could represent it accurately and provide a suitable control solution,” says Control Concepts senior engineer Mike Korinko.

In addition to the core Crestron models, Control Concepts developed a complete packet that includes a sample control program, a user interface for product demonstration, and all of the documentation required to program and deploy Leaf HDMI/HDBaseT Matrix Switches in a Crestron control system.

The relationship with Control Concepts doesn’t end with the development of the new modules, though; the company also provides optional maintenance and support, which includes potential future module modification.

Upon completion of the development process, Control Concepts provides the option for maintenance and support for the product modules, building the structure for ongoing support and future module modification.

“The relationship we’ve formed with Control Concepts in the development of these Crestron control modules has been particularly exciting for two reasons,” says Leaf North American sales and marketing manager Danny Webb.

“Firstly, it’s given us new and greater insight into how our HDMI/HDBaseT matrices are being deployed in advanced automation systems; and secondly, it represents the latest-and perhaps the largest-initiative in Leaf’s continued expansion in the CEDIA market.”
