CEDIA reports strong engagement at ISE 2026
CEDIA has wrapped another strong presence at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), delivering an expanded education and engagement program that drew significant participation from smart home professionals across EMEA and international markets.
The CEDIA Smart Home Technology Conference attracted approximately 400 attendees across its multi-day program, representing a reported 60–70% increase on the previous year. More than 40 speakers delivered sessions spanning AI, lighting design, networking, business strategy, wellness, social media, ethics and recommended practices. “This year’s show reinforced CEDIA’s role at the centre of the smart home conversation by championing education, nurturing future talent, expanding industry visibility and helping professionals navigate a rapidly changing market with clarity and confidence,” CEDIA chief executive and global president Daryl Friedman says.

The CEDIA Smart Home Technology Stage delivered a free, open-access program focused on emerging technologies, sustainability, AI, privacy and business development. The format enabled broader participation from show visitors and positioned the stage as an accessible forum for industry dialogue and knowledge exchange.
Workforce development formed a key component of CEDIA’s ISE presence. Through its involvement in AV Careers Day, the association hosted eight competition-winning students from Derby, Harlow BMAT and London Design & Engineering UTC colleges. The program provided direct exposure to smart home career pathways through guided show experiences and practical activities. Nathan Jones of Homeplay shared his career pathway into the sector, while Kordz delivered a hands-on cabling challenge designed to simulate real-world installation tasks.
CEDIA’s 2026 Annual Meeting, held on the Smart Home Technology Stage and livestreamed globally, outlined organisational performance and strategic priorities. Presenters included Amanda Wildman, Daryl Friedman, Wendy Griffiths, Matt Nimmons, Paul Dolenc and Adam Keplinger. Leadership detailed progress across advocacy, education and membership growth, and outlined initiatives planned for 2026 as the organisation continues to formalise standards and expand professional development pathways across the smart home sector.
