CEDIA has announced it has opened a new education facility at its UK headquarters in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

The new facility, which opened on 8 May 2017, consists of an education room, a practical workshop with six work stations and a new breakout area.

The facility was expanded to accommodate the interest that CEDIA’s training courses are generating, with 72 courses and nearly 600 integrators hosted in its training room last year. It marks CEDIA’s on-going commitment to invest in high quality industry training and will allow CEDIA to provide technology integrators with the latest education in an environment set to inspire and engage.

“Education is an essential step for those looking to enter and progress their skills in the home technology industry. Our education program continues to grow in popularity, so we felt that it was time to invest in a dedicated training facility,” says CEDIA EMEA managing director Matt Nimmons.

CEDIA will be hosting just under 100 days of training at the new facility between June and December, with courses including Project and Business Processes, and Audio, Video and RF Systems for installers, as well as Design Process, Documentation, 3D Audio and Immersive Sound for home cinema.

The new facility is also available to hire for CEDIA members as part of the wider benefits package.

“Since the facility opened at the beginning of May, it has been fully booked, with attendees enjoying the new space for various training sessions, including the four-day Technical School. We are delighted that the space has received a great reception from all who attended these sessions,” says Matt.
