CEDIA has opened entries for the 2026 CEDIA Smart Home Awards, calling on integrators, manufacturers and industry professionals to showcase standout projects, products and achievements across the smart home and residential construction sector.

The 2026 program spans four main streams, including Integrator, Business, Individual and Manufacturer categories. Integrator awards cover areas such as Best Home Cinema, Best Integrated Home, Best Single Room Solution, Best Assisted Living Project, Best Outdoor Space and Technology Beyond the Home, alongside specialist categories recognising excellence in lighting, networking, rack building, documentation and ongoing support.

Business awards recognise excellence among integrators and suppliers, emerging businesses and experience centre innovation, while Individual categories acknowledge newcomers, technicians and sales representatives. Manufacturer awards include Best New Hardware, Best New Software and induction into the Product Hall of Fame.

CEDIA has placed an emphasis on several core categories for 2026. The Best Assisted Living Project category focuses on ethical, safety-driven installations that enhance resident health and well-being in primary residences or assisted living environments.

Best Outdoor Space recognises technically advanced outdoor AV, lighting, security and networking solutions that support modern lifestyles, while Best Single Room Solution highlights adaptable, multi-purpose residential spaces delivered to high technical standards. The Technology Beyond the Home category rewards residential-style systems deployed in non-traditional environments, demonstrating innovation beyond standard housing applications.

“The CEDIA Smart Home Awards had a fantastic 2025 and I am excited to see the program grow this year. With a thoughtfully crafted range of categories, we’re certain every member will find their ideal fit. These awards aren’t just about recognition, they’re about celebrating the passion and innovation that drive our industry forward,” CEDIA senior membership manager Jenn McGuire says.

Submissions for Integrator categories close on 12 April, while entries for Business, Individual and Manufacturer Product categories close on 24 May. An early bird deadline of 24 April applies to Manufacturer Product categories.
