CEDIA names 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award and Fellows

CEDIA has announced its 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and fellows.

Anthony Grimani has been named the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, alongside Patrick Hartman and Joe Wallace as CEDIA Fellows.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is to recognise the efforts that have shaped the smart home industry by leaving a legacy. Anthony Grimani is 2025’s winner with the co-founder of Grimani Systems and president of MSR Acoustics also a CEDIA founding member, fellow, volunteer, instructor and standards leader.

“Anthony is passionate about our industry and has achieved some outstanding contributions that have impacted the future for us all,” CEDIA board chairperson Alex Capecelatro says.

“He has also maintained his involvement with CEDIA from the early days, and this year, joined the RP32 Measurement and Validation of Audio Performance Task Force and Standards Committee and is chair of the RP1 Performance Task Force. Congratulations on this award Anthony, you are a true pioneer who is committed to advancing the industry.”

The honour of CEDIA Fellow has been awarded to Patrick Hartman and Joe Wallace whose dedication and influential work has helped guide CEDIA and the smart home industry. They join an esteemed group of people who are recognised for shaping the field and leaving a long-lasting mark.

Patrick is the general manager at Technology Design Associates and has been in the AV industry for over 35 years. His career involved roles in project management, business development, system design and engineering and installation in both residential and commercial verticals, while volunteering with CEDIA for over 16 years.

“I’m truly humbled to be recognised alongside so many industry legends I’ve admired for years, many of whom have guided me as mentors and become cherished, lifelong friends,” Patrick says.

Joe is a 35-year industry veteran who specialises in operations and project management for large custom residential projects. The president of Wallace Integration Inc has been involved with CEDIA for over 31 years and was key in establishing CEDIA University while serving two years as chairman of the Education Content Action team.

“Being named a CEDIA Fellow is quite an honour,” Joe says.

“I’m humbled for the recognition and proud to have my name added to such an esteemed list of CEDIA peers, volunteers, and industry veterans. My involvement with CEDIA has always been an incredibly important part of my career path. I am extremely thankful for the recognition.”
