CEDIA makes changes to training in 2018
CEDIA has announced its making a number of changes to its education program for 2018 that will give integrators more choice when it comes to staying ahead of the game and thriving in an ever-evolving industry.
These changes will affect the Technical School, Designer School, Boot Camp, Home Cinema Design Fundamentals class and Health & Safety session.
The Technical School will now include five full days of training instead of four, featuring sessions on Project and Business Processes, Basic Wired and Wireless Networking, Smart Home Control and Lighting Systems, and Home Cinema and HD Video Distribution. The course has also been boosted by the addition of Building and Wiring Fundamentals. Additionally, the certification exam will now be held on an examination day at CEDIA’s training facility on the first Friday of every month to provide integrators with more time to revise and ensure they’re well-prepared.

It also teaches integrators how to complete electrical maintenance and repairs of electrical systems.
The Home Cinema Design Fundamentals class is now only available to book as a two-day course, which can be followed with a new three-day Advanced Home Cinema course. Lastly, the Health & Safety session will now be run by Certsure.
