Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in June, alongside trade show DesignBUILD, the
number of visitors across both shows exceeded 8,000.

“Being trade shows, the quality of visitors impressed us as much as the numbers. So much so that the two shows
will be running alongside each other in Sydney next year,” CEDIA executive director Stephen Miller says.

He says testament to this year’s success was the number of positive and enthusiastic testimonials he received from exhibitors and visitors alike. They included:

“I have attended many CEDIA functions over the years and without reservation this is the best I have been a part of as an exhibitor and a CEDIA member. The venue and standard of exhibitors was the best I have seen.”
– Manny Kyriakides, Advance Audio Australia.

“This was quite simply the best show we’ve attended. Great floor traffic, quality attendees and really good atmosphere. The co-location with DesigBUILD was a real plus.”
– Carlinea Williamson, Herma.

“Can I say how grateful as a company we were to be exposed to such a professionally run affair. You guys really did an amazing job and all of the courses, the awards night and the general expo floor were worth the very real investment we make as a small company to attend such fairs.”
– A custom installation company that visited Expo.

The top echelon of high-end audio/visual components, home automation technology, home cinema equipment and a raft of the latest and greatest consumer electronics products were on display.

“We were extremely happy with the move to Melbourne and will be capitalising on that momentum when we return to Sydney’s Darling Harbour on 11-13 May next year,” Stephen says.

“We’re delighted with the direction this industry is heading in.”
