CEDIA expands into emerging Asian markets

Robin joins CEDIA Asia Pacific from his role as senior sales manager at the Klipsch Group. He has more than 15 years’ experience in the electronics industry gained in a variety of senior management positions across Asia. Robin will be based out of Shanghai in China to satisfy the growing demand from within the industry for CEDIA-trained personnel on the ground in key Asian territories.

He is tasked with raising the profile of CEDIA, supporting the CI sector as it evolves across the continent and building the industry’s reputation for delivering professionally designed and installed home electronic systems.

“Robin’s appointment is vital in helping the industry expand and mature in Asia” says CEDIA Asia Pacific’s executive director Stephen.

“It will also ensure CEDIA can take the lead in advancing the interests of members in these exciting times of growth. He has a great understanding of the electronic systems market segment, an excellent grasp of how CEDIA can help expand the market and is the perfect man for the job”.

Robin has worked for many Fortune 500 companies including Toshiba, LG and NEC. He has a Masters of Business, from Southern Cross University, NSW, Australia and speaks several languages, including Chinese and English. He will be accessible to members, capable of providing advice and dealing with enquiries from across the Region.

His key role as director of Asia will be to co-ordinate and implement programmes with CEDIA Asia Pacific and CEDIA global organisations. These will provide CEDIA Asia members with skills-based industry training and conference events. He will also work to establish industry professional trade shows in key territories.
