CEDIA announces 2017 EMEA volunteers of the year
CEDIA has announced the 2017 EMEA volunteers of the year. Each nominee has contributed a countless amount of time to help develop and refine CEDIA offerings. Every year, CEDIA recognises three members; a new volunteer, a training volunteer, and an overall volunteer.
Guy Singleton – Volunteer of the Year

Guy has been a CEDIA volunteer for the past 15 years, and has dedicated a countless amount hours to CEDIA – all voluntary. Guy has been an instructor at ISE, the CEDIA show and various other CEDIA training events around the world.
During his time as an ISF instructor (for EMEA) and being both THX and HAA certified, he has continuously explored state-of-the-art screen room designs for the next chapter of both picture and sound. To add to his training roles, Guy has been a US and Global Awards judge, worked on various industry committees and was an important figure in the IET Standards working group.
Owen Maddock – New Volunteer of the Year

Owen has been a CEDIA member since July 2015 and has involved himself in all things CEDIA since day one. He is an incredibly active member of the community and has become a proactive and positive ambassador for the association.
Most notably, Owen is the main author for the upcoming continuing professional development (CPD) course on home cinema. Owen has shown his ability to articulate how important being a CEDIA member is and how other members can best make the use of the benefits. Owen does a great job of using his personal experience as evidence of what can be achieved as a CEDIA member.
Larry Heuvelman – Training Volunteer of the Year

Larry has been embodied all things CEDIA for nearly ten years. He has continuously lent his countless years of business and ownership experience to be a contributor to the education and business course selection process for CEDIA 2017. Larry has always provided his industry insight for CEDIA and its members so it’s hard to find a more deserving person for this award.
