The button panels are customisable and integration-friendly AV system control interfaces that work with any IPCP Pro control processor. Multiple eBUS button panels may be linked together by a single cable that carries both power and communication. A variety of mounting options, including Extron’s new Flex55 mounting systems, provide easy integration solutions.
The buttons can be customised using Extron Button Label Generator software or by using the online Custom Button Builder application.
“Extron’s growing eBUS family makes AV button panel integration and expansion easier than ever,” says Extron vice president of sales Casey Hall.
“Single-cable connections and multiple mounting options help system designers grow an AV control system from a single button panel to multiple panels to fit a wide variety of applications.”
SMP 111
The SMP 111 is a high performance recording and streaming processor for capturing and distributing AV sources and presentations as live streaming and recorded media.
It accepts an HDMI signal with embedded audio and an analogue audio signal. Extron high-performance scaling and flexible signal processing enables superior display of content of varying resolutions from computer and HDTV sources. The SMP 111 supports extensive streaming capabilities. It can record and stream simultaneously, with independent resolutions and bit rates using a range of transport protocols and session management options.
“In response to requests from customers, we’ve continued to expand our line of H.264 streaming products with the addition of the SMP 111, a compact, single channel H.264 streaming media processor,” Casey says.
“Supporting RTMP streaming now allows our customers to easily implement live streaming to YouTube, Facebook Live and other streaming services while simultaneously making high quality recordings.”
The SMP 111 is ideal for applications that require simple recording of a single video signal with audio and metadata.
Room Agent version 1.2.
In other Extron news, the manufacturer has announced the immediate availability of Room Agent version 1.2.
Room Agent software turns TouchLink Pro touch panels into full-featured booking appliances that display a room’s meeting information and availability.
With Room Agent, the touch panels require no programming, as they simply become a client of Microsoft Exchange. In addition to supporting Microsoft Exchange, the latest version of Room Agent software enables integration with Office 365 for additional scheduling convenience.
The touch panel interface also provides at-a-glance room availability and a timeline view of the room’s status for the rest of the day.
“Extron Room Scheduling continues to simplify the room booking experience worldwide,” says Casey.
“This new version of Room Agent offers even more scheduling options by including support for Office 365.”
To use RoomAgent, simply connect the touch panel to your computer, open the software, fill in the required fields that compose the user interface and the system is ready to go.
Customisation options allow fields to be shown or hidden, depending on user preference. Multiple mounting options are available, including on-wall, in-wall, as well as secure mounting to almost any flat surface, including glass or granite.
