Blustream launches new Contractor series 4x4 HDBaseT Matrix KITBlustream, which is distributed by QualiFi, has announced the launch of its new Contractor series HDBaseT Matrix, the C44-KIT.

The C44-KIT distributes 4K HDCP 2.2 resolutions from four sources to four zones and HDMI, bi-directional IR and PoH (PoE) up to lengths of 70m over a single CAT cable. The matrix also features simultaneous HDBaseT/ HDMI output and a web browser interface module for advanced control integration and configuration of the matrix.

“We have witnessed new matrix price points emerge during the last 12 months and the market is crying out for stripped down professional solutions that can maintain their place as the backbone of any multi room AV system. We’ve worked closely with our customers and component level suppliers to develop our latest contractor series of cost effective solutions,” says Blustream general manager Martyn Shirley.

“We have specified the C44-KIT to support the latest HDCP2.2 protocol and resolutions up to 4K 60Hz 4:2:0, which accounts for the maximum resolution of over 95% of 4K sources currently on the market. During the next six to 12 months we expect the market to polarise as we see the introduction of advanced HDBaseT solutions that support the full 4K resolution of 60Hz 4:4:4. These new solutions will naturally be more expensive than current models and because if this it’s more important than ever that AV engineers specify the correct equipment for the project in hand. The C44-KIT will be a great solution for residential four zone installations for years to come.”

The solution comes as a plug and play kit supplied with four HEX70B receivers and will be available as of 5 December.
