Bluetooth Remote Input Module
Those familiar with the Hi-Fi 2 audio system know that it uses a series of up to 8 local and remote inputs for music sources. The upcoming Bluetooth RIM, HAI Part Number 95A04-2, is a new Remote Input Module for use with the Hi-Fi 2. It connects to the Hi-Fi 2 via a single Cat 5, introducing Bluetooth connectivity to distributed audio.
Now, Bluetooth devices can connect and act as music servers for your Hi-Fi 2 distributed audio system, turning anyone into the DJ! From your device’s settings menu, select the appropriate HAI RIM from the Bluetooth headphone option. Now you can play music using in-wall speakers from your device’s Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody, iTunes, Google Music, and YouTube playlists.
HAI expects the Bluetooth Remote Input Module to be available in the Q1 2012.

“No more learning different interfaces or being held back by localised controls – instead, use your mobile device like iPod, iPad, iPhone, Android, tablet, or notebook,” says HAI associate director of marketing Greg Rhoades.
“Also, say goodbye to the time-consuming process of transferring files to a server or PC. Anyone can now be the party DJ without wires or limits, with either downloaded or streaming music from their mobile phone to their in-wall home speakers.”
