BenQ has released its EW2775ZH LCD monitor. This is the company’s first model to feature ‘Brightness Intelligence Technology’, which automatically adjusts to ambient light and on-screen content to optimise display performance for video and movies while protecting the viewer’s eyes.

The EW2775ZH also features Low Blue Light Plus advanced eye-care technology (an upgrade of BenQ’s original Low Blue Light Technology) which uses exclusive panel expertise to filter out only the hazardous blue light emissions, keeping the eye safe while ensuring a true-to-life display colour performance and a comfortable viewing experience.

Low Blue Light Plus leverages VA high-contrast panel capabilities with AMVA+ panel strength and 3000:1 native contrast ratio, enhancing image clarity.  It works by removing the unsafe 420~455mm blue light emissions which, similar to UV light, can cause eye discomfort and tiredness. The technology does this without compromising yellow screens, low brightness and faded colour.

The four user-scenario modes offered through Low Blue Light Plus are designed to allow high image quality and a healthy viewing experience for a wide array of user behaviours. These modes include Standard, Entertainment, Office and Dark Room. There is no colour shift when the Low Blue Light Plus hot key is set to Standard mode.

The EW2775ZH also features flicker-free technology which eliminates flickering at all brightness levels and effectively reduces computer eyestrain due to screen flickering. Conventional LCD screens flicker 200 times per second, a level visually unnoticeable to the user but that still creates substantial eye fatigue.

The EW2775ZH has been certified by TÜV Rheinland, a provider of technical, safety and certification services, for its eye-friendly features. It is designed for heavy monitor and notebook users who are also seeking a high-quality video watching experience and multitasking in a personal space. Users can connect the EW2775ZH to their notebook as an extension monitor for boosting work efficiency, or to a gaming console.
