AVPro Edge has released the AC-EXUSB-3-KIT point-to-point USB extension solution, enabling integrators to connect as many as four USB 3.0, 2.0 or 1.0 devices up to 100m from a host/computer.

A device-end functioning as a hub, the AC-EXUSB-3-KIT is a two-piece solution allowing mixed USB signal standards to be used simultaneously, with all USB ports on both the host and the device being robust USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type.

“With our proven expertise at extending 8K HDMI, AVPro engineers have now successfully created a valuable tool for our integration partners that provides an identical solution for extending high-performance USB connectivity,” AVPro Edge chief technology officer Matt Murray says.

“USB signals present unique challenges, with USB 3.0 limited by passive cabling to just 2m. But our video heritage and engineering understanding have come to the rescue when such a limitation won’t do.”

In addition, the key benefits of the AC-EXUSB-3-KIT include support for 4K cameras and microphones, legacy USB 2.0 and 1.0 devices, 5Gbps total bandwidth and seamless integration with codecs and conference room systems.

AVPro Edge products are backed by a ten-year advanced-replacement warranty..
