Australia’s first look at Origin Acoustics at Integrate 2015
Architectural speaker brand Origin Acoustics will showcase its product range to the Australian AV market for the first time ever at this year’s Integrate, held at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from August 25 to August 27.
Having established in the US just over a year ago, Origin Acoustics has more than 100 audiophile-grade, high-performance in-wall and in-ceiling architectural loudspeaker products available to the AV market, setting a new standard for speaker technology globally.
Philip Sawyer, Managing Director of Synergy Audio, Origin Acoustics exclusive Australian distributor, said the products’ entrance to the Australian market brings the most advanced speaker technology and new mounting systems that make it easier to install.

“Patent-approved technology gives the speakers a significant performance edge while zip-lock finger mount systems make the installation of the in-ceiling quick and easy with a seamless aesthetic result,” Mr Sawyer said.
“The new mounting system also allows for the use of much broader bass drivers in a smaller cut-out and a dual suspension system has increased dispersion by 15 per cent, both of which lead to a tremendous improvement in performance and fidelity.”
Integrate will be the first opportunity for installers and integrators to experience Origin Acoustics range alongside more than 350AV products and range of innovative solutions offered by brands and distributors.
More than 100 AV products will be launching at this year’s Integrate, including:
- Dreamoc 3D and 4D holographic displays by Real Vision Imports, which enables businesses to combine a physical product with 3D real-time generated holographic content that can be operated from a smart phone.
- Hager TS Wall Controller by KNX National Group of Australia that will be part of KNX City – a dedicated smart building technology exhibit. An understated black panel that sits flush with the wall, up to eight functions allows users to control lights, heating or blinds with a single touch.
- A wireless presentation system by Circle Box AXIS Audio Visual technology, which has been designed to beam PC desk top to wireless tablets for collaborative and learning spaces.
- HUB Dimmer by Jands, which enables businesses to maximise the benefits of improvements in lighting technology while adapting to new “green” requirements. The system allows venues to easily integrate the control of the stage power with a mixed inventory of LED and traditional lighting in to the building management infrastructure.
Integrate Event Manager Soren Norgaard said the fact that so many international brands were using Integrate as a platform to launch new products cemented its position as Australia’s leading AV industry event.
“Integrate is the Australian AV industry’s key annual event bringing together 5000 industry professionals to meet with buyers and distributors to learn about the latest in AV solutions to ensure they are staying up-to-date with rapidly changing AV technologies,” Mr Norgaard said.
Installers and integrators will also have the opportunity to hone their skills at the on-site education program. InfoComm Education will provide development for individuals and professionals within the AV industry while CEDIA Training will provide courses and seminars around emerging trends, operational expertise and technical training for technicians and businesses.
