The event will be a chance to audition hundreds of top brands showcased in more than 40 demo rooms and function suites, including Sony’s high-res audio and 4K video technologies.

This year the Australian Audio & AV Show is better than ever, with more live musical entertainment, expert guest speakers and the newly introduced Classic Vinyl Listening Sessions. Extended opening hours allow the visitor more time to enjoy all the goodies on offer. The Headzones area will once again be the place to discover your personal audio preferences, and other trade booths will feature everything from computer audio to classic vinyl.

As well as Classic Vinyl Listening Sessions, the ‘Wheat’ Room will feature expert overseas and local guest speakers – USA Stereophile magazine’s Michael Fremer will deliver his renowned Turntable Master Class assisted by Australia’s very own Mark Doehmann. Presentations on high-res audio and 4K video will be delivered, followed by interactive Q&A sessions.

Anyone that loves audio, video, music and movies and is looking to add that new piece of gear will probably find it in Melbourne at the 2014 Australian Audio & AV Show. “The InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto will once again play host to this year’s event. This fabulous, heritage listed building combining all the ambience and old world charm, with the comfort and modern facilities required to present and maximise the performance of today’s sophisticated home entertainment technologies,” Roy Bird from Chester Group Exhibitions says.

Not just an exhibition, the Australian Audio & AV Show is pure entertainment, whether your choice is high-end systems valued in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, iPod docks and wireless speakers, computer audio, high definition TV and projection, or the personal musical experience of headphones, the Australian Audio & AV Show has got the lot.
