Aurora, distributed by AP Tech in Australia, has released the IBT Series AV Distribution Solution consisting of two transceiver devices, the IBT-1-BX and the IBT-1-WP1.

These solutions create up to a 255×255 low cost 4K60 4:4:4 matrix using a network switch, while having the simplicity of HDBaseT with the scalability of AVoIP.

Each unit can be set as a transmitter or receiver and can be addressed from 0 to 255. If it’ll be used as a distribution amplifier, set one as a transmitter and the amount required for receivers to address zero and connect to the appropriate network switch brand and size.

To make a switch or matrix, the devices can be set to transmitters and receivers, so set the address starting at one. With a multicast or RS-232 command, it’s no different than an off the shelf matrix and the units will route accordingly.
