Audio-Technica, distributed by Technical Audio Group in Australia, has introduced the D50 Digital UHF Wireless System, a wireless platform engineered for high-density RF environments across corporate AV, education, government, houses of worship, theatres and live sound applications.

Designed with input from integrators and end users, the D50 delivers reliable wireless performance, scalable deployment and high-quality digital audio for today’s increasingly complex RF environments.

Purpose-built to meet the demands of professional AV installations, the D50 combines enhanced RF stability, long battery life, high-fidelity audio and efficient rack-space utilisation. The system supports up to eight channels of Dante audio networking in a single rack space, while integrated DSP capabilities and scalable expansion provide flexibility for installations of all sizes.

The D50 offers up to 244MHz of tuning bandwidth for flexible channel planning in challenging RF conditions. Switchable antenna combining diversity and maximal ratio combining (MRC) true diversity modes improve signal reliability, while high-density mode supports up to 47 simultaneous frequencies within a single 6MHz TV channel.

A compact half-rack receiver is available in either a two-channel Audio-Technica Link version or a four-channel Dante-enabled model, supporting 96kHz audio, network redundancy and PoE+ power. The system is complemented by handheld, bodypack and gooseneck base transmitters, with handheld models featuring interchangeable Artist Elite microphone capsules.

Additional features include onboard spectrum analysis, AES256 encryption, integrated DSP processing and Wireless Manager software for centralised monitoring and control.

“Our D50 was purpose-built for integrators from extensive market insight and customer feedback working in demanding RF environments,” Audio-Technica US vice president of products, business and marketing Kurt Van Scoy says.

“It enables confident deployment with secure, flexible channel planning even in the most complex and congested conditions.”
