AltonaAtlona’s JunoX Series switcher and Rondo Series video distribution amplifiers are now on the market in an attempt to address 4K and HDR requirements in AV systems.

These systems will now be available worldwide; all products will support 4K/UHD video at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling, and HDMI data rates up to 18Gbps.

The JunoX Series is an HDMI switcher, which is made for applications needing the latest 4K/UHD and HDR sources and displays. Further, it is compatible with all video resolutions, audio formats and colour space formats as well as passing metadata for HDR content.

Automatic input switching is a key feature of the JunoX 451. It also has HDMI Audio Return Channel that receives digital audio output from a TV and TOSLINK digital audio output for sending audio to an AV receiver.

The Rondo 442 and Rondo 444 include two-output and four-output amplifier options which are ideal for commercial and residential environments. The Rondo models are compatible with all video resolutions, audio formats and can pass metadata for HDR content.

Both Ronda models feature EDID management features to ensure source and sink are attuned with each other. They also include front panel LED indicators which simplify setup and troubleshooting if needed.

The JunoX 451 also has EDID management features that can be controlled via Ethernet, RS-232 and an IR remote that comes with it – all configured remotely by the free Altona Management System.

Altona product manager Joshua Castro says that these products offer a lot to those commercial and residential integrators looking for a hassle free and highly reliable switchers and distributors.

“The availability of these products offer a substantial efficiency boost to commercial and residential integrators looking for easy-to-install, easy-to-use switching and distribution solutions that deliver high reliability with long-term value,” says Joshua.

“All three products represent important components of our HDR-compatible portfolio, now and moving forward.”

All three devices are ideal for installs using the latest UHD and HDR sources as well as TV showrooms that need consistent distribution and professional AV applications that require 4K graphics presentations.
