Atlona wins big at CEDIA Expo 2011
Atlona’s KIT-PROHD3 (digital connectivity testing kit) took home the prestigious CEDIA Manufacturer’s Excellence Award for Best New Product, as well as the 2011 Residential Systems Resi Award, which honour the best products based on their industrial design. At CEDIA Expo 2011, judges were blown away by Atlona’s KIT-PROHD3 digital connectivity testing kit, which allows integrators to diagnose and repair 99% of all system digital connectivity issues in minutes, saving both time and overhead cost. Packaged in a high-quality carrying case, the KIT-PROHD3 includes the AT-HD800 signal generator, AT-DIS7-PROHD testing monitor, AT-HDSync HDMI EDID emulator, and the AT-BAT-DIS7PRO battery.
The KIT was honoured with two awards at the show. Presented by Residential Systems magazine, the Resi Awards honour the best products — based on industrial design — from exhibiting manufacturers. The KIT-PROHD3 was selected as the winner in the Custom Installation Accessory category. CEDIA Manufacturer’s Excellence Award winners were determined by a diverse panel of CEDIA residential electronic systems contractor judges on the criteria of innovation, value to the technician, value to the business, and impact on the client’s lifestyle. Atlona’s KIT was named as a winner in the Best New Product category.
Equally impressive was Atlona’s AT-PRO2HD88M-SR 8×8 high-speed HDMI matrix switcher, which won the 2011 Custom Retailer Exc!te Award. Featuring HDBaseT technology, the switcher extends HDMI sources up to 450 feet at 1080p resolution over a single Cat 5/6/7 cable as well as providing analog two-channel stereo, bidirectional RS-232, and zone-specific bidirectional IR pass-through up to 60 KHz. Furthermore, the unit provides support for Deep Color, HDCP, and full 3D, while preserving 7.1-channel digital audio, including DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD. Presented annually by CustomRetailer magazine, the Exc!te Awards pay tribute to products that stand out for being innovative and for having high-performing solutions oriented to the custom installation professional.
