Atlona’s new AT-OME-EX-WP-KIT-LT is an Omega series solution that addresses the challenge of connecting USB devices in remote locations.

It is ideal for software video conferencing and touch or interactive displays. It provides a two-piece extension solution for HDMI and USB in hybrid and distance learning applications.

The wallplate transmitter allows flush mounting onto an instructor’s desk or lectern while HDBaseT extension links the transmitter with the receiver behind the display, connected into the display and camera.

It’s great for meeting rooms too as the transmitter can be discreetly installed into a table box, allowing for the connection of a speakerphone and laptop for video conferencing. Again, the receiver is tucked behind the display, providing connectivity for the display as well as the camera.

The USB extension allows the user the freedom to use a touch display to interact with a presenter’s laptop or to remotely control a PC-equipped interactive display.

The unit offers USB 2.0 interfacing and extension up to 70m as well as 4K/UHD capability @ 60 Hz with 4:2:0 chroma subsampling. It is HDCP 2.2 compliant and the transmitter is powered by receiver over HDBaseT.
