A touch of audio magic with Sabrina

Sabrina-Manhattan-Loft-1-2Wilson Audio has introduced the Sabrina. With a relatively small footprint, Sabrina is a 3-way floor standing loudspeaker, which has been crafted with the belief that a well-designed compact loudspeaker could outperform many of the much larger state-of-the-art systems of today.

Famous for their long design and development process, Wilson Audio has gone back to its roots by creating the Sabrina, with a design aesthetic that contains fine curving with an immaculate polished cabinet within a one box design.

The objective for Sabrina was to take the wealth of knowledge and experience contained in Wilson Audio’s XLF and distill it down to its essence. To create a loudspeaker that, like the first WATT/Puppy, could stand alongside much larger systems and offer the kind of dynamic contrast, harmonic expression and powerful experience which are the defining characteristics of Wilson Audio’s loudspeakers.

Development of Sabrina started about three years ago, with David Wilson and his team using sophisticated computer modeling and listening techniques and combining them with Wilson Audio’s philosophy of creating “works of art” to develop the Sabrina.

Consisting of an 8-inch woofer, a 5-inch midrange and a 1-inch tweeter, the Sabrina boasts a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, with a 31 Hz – 21 kHz frequency response and a sensitivity of 87dB.

With a solitary state of the art crossover, each is built individually to match the reference cross over which gives you the most supreme performance ever. Sabrina’s drivers contain an agile and dynamic 5.75″ midrange drive. Its midrange beauty and dynamic enthusiasm extends into the lower treble (it is linear to beyond 3.5kHz).

Sabrina’s driver array has been time optimised for the typical listening room (hence the sloping front baffle of the loudspeaker), technologically characterising its performance to create a sound so real, it is like an orchestra is right there in your living room.

Sabrina is available in three standard Wilson gloss colors: Desert Silver, Galaxy Gray, and Obsidian Black as well as the ability to upgrade colors, to the Biarritz White and Titan Red.

Standing at only 96cms tall, Sabrina may be one of the smallest loudspeakers by the high-end audio maker, but it is undoubtedly part of the Wilson family. Sabrina certainly lives up to the reputation of a sound reproduction like you have never experienced before.
