The hai1000 is designed for telepresence-style communications as implemented within the world’s leading boardroom environments, bringing together multi-site campuses for houses of worship, and delivering medical-grade video within hospitals.

The new modules, available from Crestron, allow integrators to easily establish high-performance communications between HaiVision hai1000 codecs by using Crestron’s room automation systems. Crestron automation products provide “instant on” performance within the demanding environments of telepresence, churches, and healthcare, where users require immediate response from control systems.

HaiVision’s hai1000/MAKO-HD is the leading codec for advanced communications, providing full frame rate, high-definition video and computer output transmission across networks with end-to-end latency of 70 milliseconds. The hai1000 is a unique multi-stream system combining up to five performance codecs within a single telecom grade appliance. It is ideally suited for applications where each location may have multiple video sources and needs to display multiple remote video sources — such as a telepresence suite or an integrated operating room within a medical teaching center.

“HaiVision’s hai1000 systems are integrated within demanding and complex environments,” says Crestron director of business and market development Steve Samson.

“Our goal is to create technologies that simplify both the user operational experience and, with supporting control modules, reduce the overall integration effort.”

The control modules are now available on Crestron’s Integrated Partner Modules web portal at: http://www.crestron.com/tools_and_resources/programming_and_integration_resources/integrated_partner_modules/default.asp?manufacturer_id=227.
