In addition to this, these amplifiers and receivers are all equipped with high grade A and B speaker terminals to ensure a clean audio signal transfer, and allow a customer to listen to their favourite music in a second area of the home. These components also have a subwoofer output to deliver a full bodied sound for listeners, particularly if they are using small bookshelf speakers.

For added convenience all of Yamaha’s new stereo components are compatible with both the YDS-12 and new YID-W10 AirWired iPhone/iPod docks. Complimenting these hi-fi products the AirWired dock will transmit uncompressed audio, which is particularly important now that many people are loading their iPods with higher quality audio files.

Conveniently, the AirWired transmitter will also sit neatly on the new iPad allowing users to play and control their music from their lap.

The new entry level stereo amplifier, the A-S300, provides 60W per channel across the full audio bandwidth (20Hz –
20kHz) with an impressively low distortion rating of 0.019%. The A-S500 steps up to 85W per channel at the same low distortion figures, and offers the added benefit of gold plated speaker terminals. These amplifiers are perfect for someone looking to construct a superior 2-channel hi-fi system or a multiple room setup with a dedicated 2 channel listening area.

Like the amplifiers, Yamaha’s new stereo receivers offer iPod/iPhone dock compatibility, Pure Direct, and high grade
speaker terminals. However for further versatility they also include an AM/FM tuner, clean display, and further multiple room options. The R-S300 delivers 50W per channel at low distortion levels with 40-station AM/FM random access preset tuning. For even greater convenience the R-S500 allows the customer to share audio from a different source to another room with Zone 2 pre-outs, and offers greater control with a preset remote control. The R-S500 also provides an additional 25W per channel, rated at 75W per channel (8ohms, 20Hz – 20kHz, 0.04%).

The hero of Yamaha’s stereo receiver range is the R-S700. This receiver delivers 100W per channel at the same
impressive distortion levels of the A-S300 and A-S500 stereo amplifiers. The R-S700 also inherits gold plated speaker and in/out terminals, while its Zone 2 pre-outs and an additional Zone 2 remote ensure the R-S700 conveniently delivers a superior listening experience.

The A-S500, A-S300, R-S500, and R-S300 will be available in both black and silver brushed aluminium allowing the
customer to select the colour according to their taste. The R-S700 will be available in black brushed aluminium.
