Consumers taking the step to surround sound now have a fully-featured, affordable option. In a market where most ‘one box’ home theatre packages are under-powered and under-featured, the DHT-391 offers true separate component quality with the full complement of Denon’s audio and home theatre technologies on board.

3D-ready receiver
With significant marketing efforts currently being directed towards 3D television and home theatres, consumer interest in this technology is high.

However, consumers will require their entire AV system to be 3D-ready to get the most from the experience. The AVR-391 receiver features 3D video pass-through from 3D source devices thanks to full HDMI 1.4a capability.

The inclusion of the newest HDMI specification in this system ensures full compatibility with all mandated 3D formats for movie, broadcast and game content, making it the perfect upgrade to 5.1 surround sound for every 3D TV owner as well as other consumers looking to move up from stereo to surround sound.

Separate component performance with 650W total power
The DHT-391 system offers fully discrete, identical power output for all channels of 110W x 5 and has support for the latest high definition audio formats, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, ensuring every subtle nuance and dynamic peak is reproduced with full detail and clarity.

Enhancing the iPod and MP3 player experience
The AVR-391 Receiver has an iPod dock input for Denon’s ASD-51W or ASD-51N Networked Control Docks, allowing easy iPod playback and streaming of networked audio.

A front mini-jack input also allows quick connection of any portable audio device, and the on-board compressed audio restorer ensures the highest quality playback of compressed music files.

Matched 5.1 speaker package
Denon have taken the confusion out of selecting suitably matched speakers as all speakers are included in the package. The front and centre speakers feature dual 80mm mid-bass drivers and a 25mm balanced dome tweeter while the surround speakers each have an 80mm full range driver.

The 100W powered subwoofer delivers deep bass and can be positioned anywhere thanks to its compact dimensions.

Other notable features offered by the new system are:
• 4 x HDMI 1.4a inputs
• Compressed audio restorer for improved iPod playback
• Simple, easy to use remote control
• Low standby power consumption of 0.5W
