Kordz has released the ONEv2 Cat6 U/UTP Network Cable, designed for professional network installations, featuring a reduced diameter and reel-less packaging to simplify handling and routing.

The successor to the company’s existing ONE Cat6 cable, ONEv2 combines ETL-verified Category 6 performance with a compact construction intended to make installation easier in confined spaces.

The cable supports 1Gbps transmission over distances of up to 100m and 10Gbps up to 55m. It also supports IEEE 802.3bt Power over Ethernet (PoE++) at up to 100W, making it suitable for a range of commercial and residential networking applications.

Constructed from 24AWG solid oxygen-free copper in an unshielded U/UTP configuration, ONEv2 incorporates an internal cross separator to help maintain cable stability and consistent crosstalk performance during installation.

Its 5.3mm diameter is designed to provide a smaller bend radius and easier routing through conduits, trunking and other restricted spaces. The cable is available exclusively in blue and features metre markings to assist with measuring and cutting during installation. The IEC 60332-1 flame-retardant PVC jacket carries a CPR Eca classification.

ONEv2 is supplied in REELEX Air packaging, which replaces a conventional reel with a figure-eight dispensing format. The 305m carton is designed to reduce packaging bulk and waste while allowing the cable to be dispensed smoothly without tangling. Its smaller, lighter format is also intended to make handling and repositioning easier on site.

The cable is compatible with Kordz ONE Series Cat6 networking components and is backed by the company’s lifetime warranty.

“Network infrastructure stays in walls for many years, so integrators need products they can genuinely rely on. Our ONEv2 CAT6 Network Cable offers integrators a more attainable product, without compromising on the Kordz quality and performance they have come to value and expect from us,” Kordz Australia product manager Josh Yammouni says.

“From its slimmer, more flexible construction to the Reelex Air packaging, every refinement is intended to make professional network installations more reliable and efficient.”
