CEDIA will host a session on building relationships with builders, architects and interior designers at the CEDIA Australia Tech + Business Summit on the Gold Coast on 27-29 October.

The 90-minute session, From First Contact to First Call: How to Become the Integrator They Can’t Build Without, will be led by TruMedia owner and chief executive Amanda Wildman on 28 October from 11:00am to 12:30pm.

The session will examine strategies for residential technology integrators seeking to develop relationships with design and construction professionals and generate referrals.

Topics will include identifying relevant industry contacts, understanding their priorities, making initial connections, securing projects and maintaining relationships through follow-up.

Amanda will also discuss CEDIA’s Design and Build Outreach Program, including its educational resources, accredited presentations and outreach opportunities for connecting with the design and construction sector.

The session is part of the summit’s Thought Leader Series, which also includes sessions on AI in integration businesses, system commissioning and the changing role of technology integrators.

The CEDIA Australia Tech + Business Summit will take place at Novotel Surfers Paradise from 27-29 October. The event brings together residential technology professionals for training, education and supplier engagement.
