Zenitel launches VAIA compact Public Address and Voice Alarm platform
Zenitel, distributed by Amber Technology in Australia, has launched VAIA, a compact public address and voice alarm (PAVA) platform.
VAIA combines voice alarm, public address, digital signal processing, amplification and battery charging into a single integrated system for commercial and critical communication applications.

Designed for sectors including commercial buildings, education, healthcare, transport and industrial facilities, VAIA is intended to simplify deployment while delivering the reliability, intelligibility and performance required for life safety and operational communications.
The platform delivers up to 1,000W RMS of power in a 1U form factor, reducing rack space requirements while simplifying installation and ongoing maintenance.
“Modern buildings and infrastructure demand communication systems that aren’t only reliable and compliant, but also easier to deploy, manage and scale,” Zenitel vice president Sri Sutharsan says.
“With Zenitel VAIA, we’re bringing together our long heritage in critical communication with a new generation of compact and intelligent PAVA technology, designed to deliver exceptional intelligibility, operational efficiency and simplified deployment without compromise.”
Zenitel says VAIA also supports its Unified Critical Communication (UCC) strategy by integrating public address, voice alarm, intercom, IP speakers and operational audio workflows within a single communications ecosystem.
The platform integrates with Zenitel Connect Pro and its Vipedia platform, allowing deployments ranging from standalone systems through to multi-site critical communication networks.
In addition to supporting emergency communication requirements, VAIA is designed to deliver audio performance suitable for operational announcements, security messaging and background music across a range of building environments.
