Jabra has launched the PanaCast U30, a compact USB video bar designed to simplify bring-your-own-device (BYOD) collaboration in small meeting rooms and huddle spaces.

Made for rooms accommodating up to six people, the PanaCast U30 combines AI-powered video features, integrated audio and simplified deployment tools as organisations continue expanding hybrid work environments across smaller meeting spaces.

The system has been designed to address the growing challenge of equipping smaller rooms for video collaboration without the cost and complexity traditionally associated with dedicated conferencing hardware.

“Small meeting spaces are where many of the most important conversations happen. As teams look to support hybrid work, there’s a growing need to make more of these spaces meeting-ready,” Jabra senior vice president Holger Reisinger says.

“With the Jabra PanaCast U30, we’re delivering intelligent video and professional audio in a compact, easy-to-deploy solution that makes it easier to equip more small rooms for video meetings.”

The PanaCast U30 is built around a single USB-C connection, allowing users to plug in their own laptop and launch meetings using platforms including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

Jabra has also integrated on-screen guidance and built-in wallpapers to assist users before meetings begin, with future updates set to allow organisations to upload custom branded wallpapers through the Jabra Plus management platform.

For video performance, the device uses a 120° field of view designed to capture all participants in compact meeting environments, while AI-powered features including Intelligent Zoom, Virtual Director and Dynamic Composition automatically adjust framing based on who is speaking.

The unit also includes a built-in speaker and six-microphone array supporting full-duplex audio for clearer two-way conversations during hybrid meetings.

The device can be managed through the Jabra Plus platform, allowing IT teams to monitor system health, deploy firmware updates and manage multiple meeting spaces remotely. The PanaCast U30 also supports local firmware updates for security-conscious environments requiring offline management.
