ADI | Snap One has unveiled the Control4 X4, a next-generation update to its smart home and business control platform. It’s designed to simplify programming for integrators and give users more control over their environments. Control4 X4 introduces a fresh navigation experience, streamlined automations and powerful customisation features aimed at making smart living more intuitive and accessible.

The platform focuses on user-friendly personalisation, allowing preferences, schedules and navigation screens to be set up during installation. It can all be easily tweaked later as needs may change, with minimal dealer involvement.

Users can now control entire buildings or individual rooms through Widgets, set up custom Routines and access real-time camera feeds or favourite devices without navigating too deep into menus. Everything can be done in seconds using the Control mobile app, T4 touchscreens.

ADI | Snap One SVP and chief product officer Jason Winchester says the update isn’t about replacing professional programming but enhancing flexibility.

“X4 introduces a fresh navigation language and powerful personalisation tools like Widgets and Routines,” he says.

“This allows both integrators and end users to fine-tune their automation settings effortlessly.”

To address accessibility demands, X4 allows users to adjust text sizes and scale device tiles. This ensures a more inclusive interface across iOS, Android and touchscreen devices. For new users, a built-in Knowledge Hub provides tutorials accessible directly through the mobile app or touchscreens.

X4 users can manage Control4 through Apple CarPlay, iPhone Control Centre, Mac desktops or trigger scenes using Siri voice commands.

Control4 X4 will be demonstrated at InfoComm 2025 (booth #3728) in Orlando, FL from 11-13 June.
