Chowmainsoft has introduced a Control4 driver for the R_Volution media player. With the driver, users can browse and play movies or TV shows directly from any Control4 touchscreen, on-screen interface or remote control.

The two-way control and feedback allow the cinema to respond to playback by automatically dimming the lights when a movie starts and lighting them when paused. Favourite movies or TV episodes can be added to the touchscreen or shortcut on playback through keypads and other interfaces.

Users can also view movie information such as the synopsis, cast, artwork and more by grid and list view.

The R_Volution media player, distributed by Synergy Audio Visual in Australia, comes in three models; the PlayerMini, PlayerOne 8K and the PlayerPro 8K which support the formats of Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos.

The PlayerPro 8K features dual SATA racks for up to 64TB of storage and a high-performance power supply. All models including the R_video Media Centre, provide a refined user interface with rich cover art and animated background for an entertaining browsing experience.
